About Us
Fulton Park is situated on the eastern side of the Forth River, approx. 4 km south of the township of Forth on Tasmania’s picturesque North-West Coast, consisting of 55 Ha of bush and open ground.
Facilities include an inside kitchen, 64 and 42 bed bunkhouses, separate ablution facilities which can cater for youth and adults, outdoor kitchen, bush campsite with toilets and showers.
The land was gifted to the North-West District of the Boy Scouts’ Association by Mr Ulric Champion circa 1949, to further the aims of Scouting in Tasmania and was declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1950.
The current Lodge was erected after the original hut donated by the BHP Company burnt down in 1952. The Devonport Rotary Club offered financial and practical help to rebuild with the assistance of the local Association. In 2019 a major internal upgrade was undertaken to replace the floor and ceiling as well as lining the walls and adding a covered walkway.
Fulton Park is administered by the Mersey District Scout Association.
